The project focuses on designing a migratory bird protection wetland park at the Linhong Estuary in Lianyungang City, a key area on two global migratory bird routes. This site is chosen for ecological restoration, targeting damage from illegal activities like reclamation and mining. Leveraging geographic advantages—flat terrain, shallow waters, and various wetland types including herbaceous marshes—the design will include diverse habitats such as a red beach, reed areas, pulp fruit forests, and coral reefs. Emphasizing native salt marsh vegetation like phragmites australis, the plan aims to boost biodiversity, provide crucial foraging and resting spots for migratory birds, and foster harmony between human activity and natural ecosystems. This will enhance the park’s role in wetland and migratory bird protection.
